The Public Welfare Corporation Social Welfare Public Corporation - ostensibly an organization sponsored by the Prime Minister's Office for the support of people with disabilities - in reality, it is a covert intelligence agency that provides mechanized bodies to dying girls and secretly eliminates factions opposing the government.
Henrietta, the lone survivor of a family massacre, undergoes brainwashing called "conditioning," sealing her memories and turning her into a "cyborg." Meanwhile, former soldier Jose Croce, driven by a desire for revenge after terrorists kill his family, joins the Social Welfare Public Corporation as a "handler." Together, the cyborg and the handler always act in unison, wielding guns and immersing themselves in the fight against terrorists.
Set in a fictional Italy, this ensemble drama weaves together the stories of girls, guns, and the adults around them. Winner of the Excellence Award in the Manga Division of the 16th Japan Media Arts Festival.
