A new drama adaptation by writer Oh Soo-yeon—known for works like Autumn Tale and Winter Sonata!
Based on the webtoon The Reason for Confession by author Seo Eun-soo.
Confession is something you earn.
The right to blame someone, to ask for an apology, to say “I was wrong” or “I’m sorry,” to love and to be rejected. But we… never earned that right.
One early summer day, while washing lettuce by the garden tap, Lee Suwan locks eyes with Seo Jinha.
Already worn out from days of housework because of a guest her grandmother specially invited, Suwan isn’t exactly happy to see him. She thinks if she can just endure this once, she’ll never have to see him again.
But things take an unexpected turn.
Jinha starts dropping by the house almost every day, making his presence known. He even manages to persuade her health-obsessed grandmother to order delivery food, giving Suwan and her mom a break from chores. Little by little, Suwan finds herself looking forward to his visits, becoming more aware of him.
That winter, after enduring her grandmother’s resentment toward her mother and the bullying from her half-brother, Suwan finally runs away from home. And that’s when Jinha appears in front of her—offering warm food and words that feel like a gift.
“Let’s study together. I’ll help you get into S University as my junior.”
What starts as a cautious, secret tutoring arrangement slowly turns into something more. At first, Suwan just wanted to get into S University and prove herself to her half-brother—but before she knows it, her desire to see Jinha grows stronger.
She believes he feels the same way.
All that’s left is to confess, and everything seems perfect…
Until she hears a shocking confession from her closest friend.
