One early summer day, while washing lettuce by the garden tap, Lee Suwan locks eyes with Seo Jinha.
Already worn out from days of housework because of a guest her grandmother specially invited, Suwan isn’t exactly happy to see him. She thinks if she can just endure this once, she’ll never have to see him again.
But things take an unexpected turn.
Jinha starts dropping by the house almost every day, making his presence known. He even manages to persuade her health-obsessed grandmother to order delivery food, giving Suwan and her mom a break from chores. Little by little, Suwan finds herself looking forward to his visits, becoming more aware of him.
That winter, after enduring her grandmother’s resentment toward her mother and the bullying from her half-brother, Suwan finally runs away from home. And that’s when Jinha appears in front of her—offering warm food and words that feel like a gift.
